Work to expand sidewalks on Clifton Hill is nearing completion. The first phase of the sidewalk extension contract involved removing parking spots, relocating curbs, catch basins, and street lights. D&R Landscape Group Inc. is now working on asphalt and brick pavers. The project is expected to be completed by the Victoria Day long weekend according to the city’s municipal works department. Full-time, two-way traffic will be restored with the completion of the construction work. The Clifton Hill sidewalk expansion is one of several projects on the go at the present time. Many people continue to work from home, so they see this as a great opportunity to get work done on the roads and parks.” Crews have also been busy working on the Whirlpool Road pedestrian bridge and trail extension project and recently installing a new pedestrian bridge over the Ontario Power Generation canal….Ed
