Bryson decided to sell his Pokemon card collection after learning his dog needed a pricey procedure to treat a lethal viral infection, he was not going to let his best friend die.
This 8-year-old is willing to do whatever it takes to save his dog’s life, even if that means selling his most prized possession: his Pokémon card collection. Bryson and his mother, Kimberly Woodruff from Virginia, recently noticed that their 4-month-old dog, Bruce, wasn’t feeling well and rushed him to the vet. The pup was diagnosed with a contagious virus, which can be lethal if left untreated. The procedure needed to treat the pup cost around $800, which the family couldn’t afford. Worried about losing his friend and playmate he would sell his Pokémon cards, which he’s collected over the past four years. He set up a table curbside along with a large sign that read: Pokemon 4 Sale. Sadly he was only making up to $10 dollars until a go-fund was set up. Donations poured into the tune of $15 thousand dollars that would cover all the medical expenses. The Pokemon Card Company was moved by the boy’s actions and sent a rare pack of cards that the company first released in 1996 to make up for any that he had sold. Bruce the pup received his procedure and is on the mend with his owner Bryson…….Ed
