Q: 50 years ago, on April 1^st, Canada woke up to what they thought was a huge April Fool’s Prank.  What was it?

A: We started the change to metric and was day one of Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.

Still, Canadians use both methods of measurement.

We cover our distance in kilometers but our height in feet and our weight in pounds. Measure in feet and inches,

Oven temp is Fahrenheit.

We measure our beer in milliliters and our hamburgers by the quarter pound.
