Mayor Davis and Brantford Delegation Headed to Ottawa

A City of Brantford delegation is headed to Ottawa next week to attend the Association of Municipalities of Ontario annual conference in Ottawa, August 17^th to 20^th

Mayor Kevin Davis will be joined by Deputy Mayor of External Relations and City Councillor Rose Sicoli, City Councillor Mandy Samwell, Fire Chief Todd Binkley and Manager of Government Relations & Corporate Initiatives, Sasha Hill Smith.

In a media release, the City says the Brantford group will attend sessions and meet with various Ministers and provincial staff to advocate for key City priorities including the housing supply and homelessness challenges

They will also seek support from the province for Brantford’s Transit Plan, connections to GO Transit and other regional networks.

The 2025 AMO Conference brings municipal and provincial officials together as Ontario’s communities continue to face economic uncertainty fueled by the trade and tariff dispute with the United States.
