The boat cruise formerly known as Hornblower is getting ready to hit the water again.
Niagara City Cruises, the new name for the company that began operations in Niagara Falls in 2014, will kick off its 2021 season Thursday — the day after Ontario enters Step 2 of its provincial reopening. Under Step 2, boat tours are allowed to operate at 25 per cent of capacity, that’s still 175 people. The Niagara City Cruises boats have a capacity for 700. Starting the engines will be a relief after a gruelling last year, which saw boat tours of the Horseshoe and American falls limited to just 10 people per ride, if they could even operate at all. Twenty-minute boat tours will run daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rates for the cruise are $31.25 adults and $21.25 for children aged three to 12. Infants two and younger ride for free…. Niagara City Cruises’ U.S. counterpart, Maid of the Mist, launched its boats back on April 29th ….Ed
