Valentine’s Day. That’s a day for lovers, and while it is heavily commercialized and everyone tries to profit off it, it’s still a good day to do something nice with or for your sweetie. But what do you do if you and your loved one won’t be in the same place on Valentine’s Day? Long Distance relationships are difficult in a lot of ways, spending the holidays together is one of them. 1. Send a sweet treat

2. Watch a movie together

One of the coolest things that came out of the pandemic is the ability to watch a movie or a show at the same time as someone in a different household. As an example, Disney+ has a watch party option for two users to watch together. Or, there is something like Teleparty, a browser extension that allows you to watch movies on Netflix, Youtube, HBO, and more with a long-distance special someone at the exact same time. Plan a virtual movie date with your significant other, grab some snacks, and enjoy a cheesy rom-com together.

3. Have a tasting party together, virtually

Valentine’s Day has been turned into a day that’s all about consumption. Whether it’s chocolates, charcuterie, or wine. Instead of fine dining, going to a wine tasting or enjoying a wine tour, create the experience together virtually! Choose your favourite cheese, meats, chocolates, and a bottle of wine that you want to try and have your partner do the same. Then, head to the store and grab both. We know how difficult it is to be in a long-distance relationship, especially when you’re not too sure when you’re going to see each other next. Maybe one of you will visit the other or you’ll meet each other at a brand new place.
