What’s Open And Closed This Easter Sunday And Monday

The Easter Long Weekend continues, and for some they might have Easter Monday off. Though most would have had Good Friday off.

Here’s some of what you can expect to be open and closed for Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

• Many major grocery stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.
• Most retail malls and a number of stores will also be closed on Sunday.
• The Beer Stores will be closed on Sunday, Apr. 9th.
• LCBO locations will be closed on Sunday, with select stores open on Monday.
• Library branches are also closed on Easter Sunday and Monday.
• Administrative offices are expected to be closed on Monday.
• Canada Post offices will be closed on Monday, Apr. 10th.
• Community Recycling Centres and Transfer Stations will be closed Monday.
• Dundurn National Historic Site, the Hamilton Military Museum and the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology will be closed on Monday, though most other attractions appear to be operating throughout the weekend.
• While some recreation centres will be closed, other pools, arenas and community centres will be operational on a limited schedule.
• Expect transit to be operating less frequently on Sunday, and while some will be as normal come Monday, April 10th, others will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule.

As with any holiday long weekend, it’s better to check ahead before you head out to avoid wasting a trip.
