Most vehicles that have been manufactured since 2010 have an arrow next to the gas gauge that either points to the right or to the left. The purpose of this arrow is to indicate to the driver which side of the vehicle the gas tank fill up is on. For example, if the arrow is pointing to the right, that means that the gas tank is on the right side of the car. Most people do not even notice this little arrow because they instinctively know the side of their car the gas tank is located. However, if you are driving a rental or new car, this arrow becomes very handy….Check it out for yourself next time you take a drive….Ed
