The final TV ratings for the World Series are in. And they are a mixed bag of news for Major League Baseball. The good news: World Series ratings have bounced back from the record lows posted last year. The not-so-good news: the numbers had nowhere to go but up. Fox says this year’s series, which saw Atlanta beat Houston to win the title in six games averaged 11.7 million viewers. That’s a 20 per cent increase over last year’s series, played at a neutral site after a pandemic-shortened regular season. But the numbers this year are well below those of 2019, the last time a series was played after a full season — and alternated between the two cities.
