High winds Today are expected to last through the afternoon before calming this evening. With the risk associated by the stronger gusts, which could reach over 100km/h in most regions or 110 km/h along the lakeshore, Environment Canada has issued a Wind Warning. This warning is in effect for most of Southern Ontario.

Very strong winds are expected today.

Very strong wind gusts near 90 km/h. Localized gusts in excess of 110 km/h are possible.

Strong southwest winds will develop this morning or early this afternoon ahead of a cold front moving through southern Ontario. Isolated thunderstorms are possible along this cold front, which may bring localized wind gusts in excess of 100 km/h. Winds will gradually ease this evening.Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
