She clarified in the comments that she had formulated the question while waiting on a long queue at the supermarket, explaining, “I needed something to think about lol.”
Needless to say, the topic had some decidedly different opinions in the comments. Many argued that erecting the conveyor belt cordons was the responsibility of the person who had just finished loading their groceries, with one writing, “Yours once you have put your shopping on…or is that just me?”
Some shopping gurus claimed that building the wall wasn’t common courtesy, but rather a means of preventing the cashier from accidentally putting another customer’s groceries on their tab.
