A couple of huge hands will guide Supercrawl attendees into this year’s artistic showcase. Performance troupe Squonk are bringing their production “Hand to Hand” to this year’s music and arts festival. The Pittsburgh-based group has jazz hands, two puppet hands, as big as a house, to be used in their multimedia performances, Sept. 10 and 11, at the three-day Hamilton James Street North fest. The group formed 25 years ago, has been touring internationally since 2003 and has performed to over one million people. The festival is bringing back its popular fashion stage, featuring local designers, retailers and drag performers. Festival performers will include seven dance groups and more than 20 authors will participate. More than 40 musical acts will perform at the festival starting Friday, Sept. 9th. The free festival will also include food trucks, craft vendors and a fun-filled family zone……Ed
