While we're already seeing super high gas prices, expect your vacation to cost a lot more. Experts say the soaring prices tied to the American-Israeli war in Iran is forcing airlines to adjust operations and pass their costs on to customers. WestJet said they are planning to introduce a $60 surcharge for certain bookings, although they did say it was temporary. as the war in the Middle East continues, the U.S. government is giving Iran till tonight to open the Strait of Hormuz or they'll begin escalating strikes on Iran's power plants and bridges. Iran has showed no signs of backing down after the U.S. and Israel began bombing the country. Jeremy Hansen days away from being the first Canadian astronaut to circle the moon as part of the Artemis II mission. The astronaut from London expected to do a lunar flyby on day six of the mission with his fellow U.S. astronauts. And the oldest known living man in Canada and one of the oldest Second World War veterans in the world has passed away at the age of 110. Burdette Sizler was born in Ohio in 1915. He moved to Toronto as a child, served as a radar technician in Canada's military during the Second World War. His son said he is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for his family. Light 92 sports baseball yesterday. Blue Jays blanked by the White Sox 3-0. They lost all games this weekend. Jays on the road again tonight. They start up a series against the LA Dodgers at 7. Raptors didn't do much better. They lost to Boston 115-101. They host Miami tomorrow 7.30. NHL last night. Montreal lost to New Jersey but managed to clinch a playoff spot. Elsewhere, Ottawa beat Carolina. Leafs, who did not make it to the playoffs, host Washington Wednesday at 7.30.
