It's the first full weekend of summer as students wrap up another school year. And Toronto hosts its fifth FIFA World Cup match. We'll have the latest coming up in sports. Canada's sending money to Venezuela to help with the damage after two massive earthquakes. $5 million is expected to help with food, clean water, sanitation and health care. Officials say 230 people have been killed, thousands left injured. The number of casualties is expected to climb. Police are investigating a series of thefts across Kitchener-Waterloo. Officers say they responded to at least six reports of credit cards being stolen from locker rooms at gym and fitness clubs from May through June. The suspect reportedly tried to use the cards to make purchases. A man arrested and police are looking for two more suspects after exotic birds were stolen in Windsor. Police were called to a break-in Tuesday and say 3 masked suspects jumped a fence and entered a coop and stole 30 exotic birds worth $30,000. The Netherlands over Tunisia. The US lost to Turkey. Couple of ties, Japan and Sweden at one. Paraguay, Australia at nothing. Today in Toronto, Senegal plays Iraq at 3. The other 3 o'clock game elsewhere, it's Norway and France. Tonight at 8, Saudi Arabia plays Cap Verde. Uruguay plays Spain, and tonight at 11, New Zealand plays Belgium, and Egypt plays Iran. Canada, by the way, takes on South Africa Sunday in LA. It's Canada's first ever knockout round appearance in the tournament. NCFL action tonight. The Argos are in Saskatchewan at 9.
