While a major 911 outage is finally fixed, police services reported intermittent outages early yesterday morning, many in the GTHA, but other parts of the country were also affected. Bell confirmed the problem was tied to a system upgrade. The union representing over 9,000 Stellantis workers in Canada said a strike is possible after talks with the automaker broke down over its intent to sell an assembly plant in Brampton. Last Friday, Stellantis said it signed a memorandum of understanding with a defense contractor on the potential sale. The company apparently said it was willing to consider hiring laid-off workers from the plant. Peel police have arrested a 34 year old after an investigation into 71 vehicle break-ins across Mississauga. Police said it happened during the early morning hours of September 3rd and 6th. Investigators are looking for a possible link to other cases across the GTHA. Today is Larry Brock's last day as MP for Brantford Brant South Six Nations. His resignation earlier last month triggered A by-election which will be held by mid-April. Brock is the third Conservative MP to resign this summer.
