Another reason the Canadian government needs to make life more affordable, according to a new RBC report, just over half of Canadian parents say they're still helping their adult children financially with expenses including groceries and rent. 51% of parents with adult kids aged 18 to 40 say they provided financial support in the past year. On average, parents gave over $6,000, while 24% of parents gave over $10,000. The Prime Minister's National Investment Summit drew a whole bunch of rich people to Toronto last night, and protesters followed. Indigenous leaders, union reps, climate and housing advocates rallied against the agenda and marched towards the site of the opening gala. Hundreds of executives and global asset managers are in Toronto for the two-day summit. as Kearney seeks to attract a trillion in new investment. Busy man, later today he heads to Europe.
