I'm Stacey Englehart. A man and boy remain in critical condition at a Toronto trauma centre after getting out of their cars on the 403. According to police, two vehicles collided on the highway near Mavis just before 5 yesterday. The drivers got out of their vehicle to exchange information when another car crashed into one of the vehicles. Police said the 43-year-old man and 12-year-old boy were from the United States. A third person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Ontario government said they know who's responsible for the black residue that blanketed Hamilton last month. The ministry has determined the emissions came from burla carbon. Over the July 4th weekend, residents across the Hamilton area reported a large buildup of soot that layered their homes, their cars and anything left outside.
