A 59-year-old accused of shooting a police officer in Welland, has been arrested after a standoff with police. Niagara police say the man was taken into custody before 7.30 Saturday morning. He's accused of shooting a police officer Friday when police were called with bylaw officers over a fencing issue. The officer was released from hospital, the suspect now facing an attempted murder charge. Pillsbury pizza pops are being recalled because they could contain E. coli. Canadian Food Inspection Agency said it affects the pepperoni and bacon pizza pops in multiple package sizes. Funny money is being passed around over the holidays. Retail Council of Canada has a warning. The association said it detected more counterfeit bills in one month than the entire previous year. Mostly 20s, 50s and 100s have been circulating. More than 1000 volunteers are helping out. All you have to do is call 1-877-HI-NORAD on Christmas Eve. They use radar, satellites, and jets to monitor threats.
