Have you mailed your packages or parcels yet? Canada Post said it's ready for the holiday rush and expects to deliver its letters and parcels on time coming out of labor turmoil. Last month, Canada Post and the union representing mail care barriers agreed to a set of new contracts suspending rotating strikes. OPP and federal border officials will provide an update this morning about an investigation into an alleged auto theft ring. Police say the probe targeted a criminal organization facilitating the movement of stolen vehicles to overseas destinations. The Canadian Wildlife Federation said a plant that's been deemed locally extinct has been spotted near Brantford. The organization said the Illinois tick trefoil had not been reported in Canada since the late 70s. But a picture uploaded to a biodiversity app sparked debate and eventually a consensus among experts. There have been 30 observations which led to a reassessment of the species. The Federation said the flowering plant is still endangered due to the limited amount remaining in Ontario. And there's a sense of doom among young people, and experts say it's not their fault. The World Happiness Report suggests young people have become Canada's unhappiest age group in a complete reversal of trends. As recently as 2011, those under 30 were the happiest. Now the reason, they say, is too much information is to blame. According to one of the researchers, the world is so connected that crises affect each other more than they have in the past. and there's more information readily available.
