We've got snow. Environment Canada issued alerts. Now Brantford not affected, but Haldimand County and Norfolk County could get pummeled with upwards of 40 centimeters of snow areas in Waterloo under a blowing snow advisory. There is going to be really strong winds and really cold wind chills. The province's SIU is looking into a fatal shooting involving police in Branford. According to reports, a 33-year-old Branford man was shot and killed by officers early Friday morning when they were called to a domestic dispute. The woman is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Prime Minister heads to Switzerland today for the World Economic Forum. He is sent to give a speech on the forum's opening day tomorrow, outlining his vision for Canada as he talks about the electric vehicle deal with China as an opportunity for Ontario and auto workers. Carney and China's president signed an agreement Friday allowing for a quota of Chinese electric vehicles at a tariff rate dropped to 6.1% from 100%. Premier Ford spoke about it Friday, calling it a knee-jerk reaction. that wasn't properly planned or consulted on. And Spanish police confirm at least 39 people have died, more than 150 injured, in a high-speed train collision in the south end of the country. The crash happened last night when a train derailed, hit an oncoming train. Authorities are still recovering bodies from hundreds of meters from the crash site.
